Who are AMI Exchangers Ltd.? We are the
world's largest manufacturer of replacement marine charge air coolers.
We also manufacture other types of heat exchangers for marine and
industrial applications. With our long experience, we appreciate the
need for quick turn around from receipt of the enquiry to delivery
of the completed goods. A personal service together with excellent
product quality is of paramount importance. Whether you operate a
large tanker, container ship, cruise ship or land based power plant,

Unlike some of our competitors, we actually design
and make our own charge air coolers. We have an open invitation
to all our clients to visit our modern, purpose built factory at
Hartlepool in the UK.

What about experience? AMI Exchangers
have been manufacturing marine and industrial heat exchangers for
20 years. In recent times, we became part of the multinational Diesel
Marine International Group and we have benefited from significant
investment. Our charge air cooler manufacturing plant is the most
modern in the world enabling us to design and manufacture more than
500 units yearly.
Do we manufacture equivalent units? We
have accumulated an extensive database of drawing information over
the years (over 11,000 drawings). We can normally identify the original
coolers fitted to your engine from the smallest of detail such as
vessel name, engine type and engine builder. We are a careful company.
If there is any doubt regarding dimensions of the replacement unit,
then it is quite normal for us to send one of our engineers almost
anywhere in the world to survey the original unit to ensure full
compatibility - often free of charge. This ensures no costly or
time consuming installation problems. Our charge air coolers have
been successfully used on the following turbo charged diesel engines:
Sulzer, B&W, MAN, MAK, Semt Pielstick, Mitsubishi,
Wartsila, Yanmar, Mitsui, Cummings, Mirrlees Blackstone, GMT Fiat,
Allen, Deutz, Smit Bolnes, Daihatsu, Bergen, Normo, Atlas, Ruston,
Hanshin, Polar, Dorman, Stork-Werkspoor.
